SLIGHT CHANGE OF PLANS
We often make all sorts of plans, and we have been taught to set goals and even plan ahead. However, how often do we talk about when things don’t go quite as planned? In all of our planning, have we even allowed room for a slight change of plans?
JOURNEY: THE SCENIC ROUTE
Today’s blog post is for those who may question why it always feels like they have to take the scenic route. How come it feels like things just won’t come easy for me? In a world driven by media influence, it’s so easy to get caught up in someone else’s journey or look at their current destination without seeing or knowing the details of their journey. It may appear that things have just come easy for them, but you don’t know the weight of their journey. Learn to EMBRACE YOUR JOURNEY. Learn to TAKE IN THE BEAUTY OF THE SCENIC ROUTE.
A SECOND WIND (WIN): IT’S TIME TO SOAR!
It’s been a minute so let me first start off by saying Happy New Year, Happy Valentine’s Day, Happy Friday and Happy Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LIX Champions’ Celebration Day (lol yes I said that in one breath)!!!! I am super excited for my home team, Go Philly! Today’s blog post was inspired by our Philadelphia Eagles, the tenacity shown by the team, and the overall love, excitement, and sense of community felt in the city. I remember our 1st Super Bowl win in 2018 against the Patriots and the excitement felt in the city; NOW here we are again SEVEN years later with a SECOND win! Talk about COMPLETE victory! If that doesn’t inspire you to SOAR like an Eagle, then I don’t know what else to tell you.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT
Hey Fam,
I come to you with good news. Yes, good news! It’s easy for us to be overcome with emotion when we receive bad news, but have you ever experienced being overcome with emotions when you receive good news…like at the announcement of a birth? Oh the joy and rush of emotions that floods your mind and heart. I always find it interesting seeing baby announcements and the rush of emotions people experience whether you are closely connected to the person making the announcement or not.
THINK-FULL THANKSGIVING
As you reflect over the year thus far (the good, bad or indifferent), what are you thankful for today? I encourage you to take a “THINK-FULL” approach to your reflection today.
Direct your mind and heart towards God’s unconditional love for you. May His peace, love and joy surround you today.
THE OFF-SEASON
I was just thinking about sports, and I began reflecting on how much I love how actively involved and invested one becomes. Whether you play a sport, coach/train, invest, or consider yourself a go hard for your team(s) fan, there is just a certain level of investment and commitment that comes with the territory. You put in work during the regular season and during the off-season in preparation for the new season. Even during the off-season, the fans are also in preparation mode (let that sit with you).
LOOK aGAIN!
Hey Fam,
It’s been a minute! Let’s take a look at a page we all may experience at some point in life, FAILURE. Have you ever found yourself revisiting a chapter in your life where you felt like you failed? Maybe you are currently at that chapter in your life right now and asking yourself, “how did I end up here?”
MIND GAMES: TURF BATTLE
Sometimes the greatest battle we will fight is in our mind. What do I mean? Have you ever found yourself consumed by thoughts which then begin to have a major impact on your emotions, how you interact with others, how you perceive situations and/or how you navigate your day?
