LIGHT EM UP!

Hey Fam,
It’s been a while, but we’re back. Four months into the year, you’ve likely experienced both highs and lows. Still, here you are: moving forward, pursuing purpose, and refusing to quit.
This month’s message of encouragement is simple, but powerful. It’s about strategy for the rest of the year. Are You Ready?
LIGHT EM UP!
Before you raise an eyebrow, let’s unpack that.
Target Practice: A Call to Action
Think about the idea of preparation. In a childhood favorite film 3 Ninjas, three young boys train with their grandfather, practicing precise moves on a dummy until its eyes light up (locate the pressure points). It wasn’t just play, it was discipline. It was training for real-life challenges. It was survival techniques placed in their toolbelts. And when the moment came, they were ready. The command was clear: “Light up the eyes boys!”
Life works the same way.
You may feel like you’ve moved from practice into the “real deal.” Challenges hit harder. Pressure feels real. Obstacles look like GIANTS. But this isn’t the time to shrink back, it’s the time to use what you’ve learned.
Every season of preparation has been building something in you: discipline, courage, strength, unity. You’ve been equipped.
So when life feels heavy:
LIGHT EM UP with truth.
LIGHT EM UP with praise and worship, even in the storm.
LIGHT EM UP with unity: in your family, your circle, your community, in the body of Christ.
Don’t dismiss the lessons you’ve learned or the growth you’ve fought for. When darkness tries to close in, respond with God’s light already within you.
Spread Positivity & Encouragement
Now take it beyond yourself.
How are you showing up in the world? Are you dimming your light, or letting it shine?
There are people around you who need what you carry. A kind word. A moment of presence. A prayer. A creative expression. A simple act of care.
Your gifts whether it’s music, storytelling, art, style, planning meaningful experiences, or anything else aren’t useless. They’re tools. Use them to bring light, joy, and hope into someone else’s day.
You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing.
Show love in action. Reflect integrity, compassion, and faith in how you live. Let your life speak as much as your words.
The Charge
As you move through the rest of this year, remember: this is your call to action.
Step into what you’ve been prepared for.
Shine where it feels dark.
Encourage where there’s discouragement.
Stand firm when it would be easier to retreat.
LIGHT EM UP!
Talk to you soon,
Ky
